ENVIRONMENTAL SOCIAL AND CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

Twenty years ago, this vision translated into a low-impact hospitality model, present from the architectural and construction design of the projects to the daily operation of hotels and restaurants. Ecological practices, conscious use of resources, and close community engagement are part of this journey.

As part of this initiative, the Barracuda Group allocates 10% of its profits to the Yandê Itacaré Institute, supporting initiatives with social, cultural, and environmental impact and contributing to strengthening those who live in and care for this territory.

Guardians

of the Climate

CO2 Legal Tourism – Climate Guardian Tourist Destinations is an initiative of the Mecenas da Vida Movement that mobilizes the tourism sector and its visitors in favor of climate protection, forest regeneration, and conservation of the Atlantic Forest. The program also promotes sustainable practices and the socioeconomic inclusion of beneficiary families. Since 2023, the Yandê Itacaré Institute has been implementing the program in Itacaré, expanding an initiative that is also present in Jericoacoara, Ilhéus, Arraial d'Ajuda, and Trancoso.

Yandê Itacaré Institute

Founded in 2021 by the Barracuda Group, which has been present in Itacaré since 2013, the Yandê Itacaré Institute is a nonprofit, public-benefit organization committed to the sustainable development of the region.

Since its creation, the Institute has supported numerous transformative projects, with the active participation of the community and strategic partners, reinforcing our commitment to the environmental, social, and cultural regeneration of Itacaré.

Acting as a project incubator, the Yandê Institute identifies initiatives with community impact, offers mentoring and structured support, and expands the conditions for these initiatives to become sustainable as businesses and reach their full potential for social transformation.
