- Casual Brazilian cuisine, open-fire cooking & coastal freshness -
By the Fishermen’s Bay, where the sea meets the vibrant culture of the village, lies OITI —
a charming bar and restaurant that celebrates local biodiversity and Brazilian cuisine.
Created as a natural extension of the Barracuda Boutique Hotel, OITI takes its name from the majestic tree that stands at its entrance — a silent guardian that witnesses encounters, aromas, and discoveries with the wisdom of time.
OITI is an invitation to experience Itacaré through its flavors and vibrant Fishermen’s Bay atmosphere. With a casual kitchen that celebrates the richness of local biodiversity and a setting that moves to the rhythm of Itacaré, it has become a place of connection — between land, sea, and people.
Chef Ernando Oliveira, a native of Itacaré and son of a traditional shellfish gatherer, leads the kitchen with passion and precision — always prioritizing freshness and the purity of ingredients. The fish and seafood are caught in local waters and arrive in the kitchen just hours later, preserving their true essence. With minimal intervention but maximum attention to detail, each dish finds its perfect balance.
Divided into five moments — finger foods, raw and chilled dishes, warm starters, mains, and desserts
OITI’s menu is a celebration of Bahia’s rich flavors. Highlights include the okra tempura and tuna pouch, the catch of the day seasoned with aromatic pepper sauce, garlic and olive oil shrimp, and fire-grilled octopus infused with regional spices. To finish, a tribute to cacao: the Bahian chocolate tart, made with ingredients from the land.
where the concept of liquid cuisine comes to life. Curated by Argentine bartender Chula Barmaid, the cocktail menu reflects OITI’s identity — celebrating local ingredients and engaging with the fire of the Parrilla.
The project upholds a genuine commitment to waste reduction, the use of organic ingredients whenever possible, and responsible waste management practices. The entire kitchen and service team is made up of local talent, strengthening ties with the community and contributing to regional development.
